The festival of Dussehra is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. On Vijayadashami, effigies of Ravana will be burned to signify the victory of truth over falsehood, along with the effigies of Meghnath and Kumbhkaran. This year, something special is happening in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The Bundelkhand Dussehra Committee plans to not only burn the effigy of Ravana but also his Lanka. The golden Lanka, a symbol of arrogance, will also be set ablaze.

देश भर में पूरे उत्साह के साथ दशहरा पर्व मनाया जा रहा है. असत्य पर सत्य की जीत विजयदशमी पर रावण के पुतले को जलाया जायेगा. रावण के साथ मेघनाद और कुंभकरण के पुतलों का भी दहन होगा. उत्तर प्रदेश के झांसी में इस बार कुछ विशेष होने जा रहा है. बुंदेलखंड दशहरा कमेटी के द्वारा रावण के पुतले के साथ उसकी लंका भी जलाई जायेगी. अहंकार के प्रतीक सोने की लंका को भी जलाया जायेगा.
