In this episode, I leave Slateport to make it into Mauville. I do this via a nice little route full of double battles and wacky wild weed and Pikachu-adjacent cheerleaders. These battles

Additionally, the Birch family makes an appearance. I see Professor Birch and get his phone number at the beginning of the route and May makes an appearance in the middle of the route.

The May battle was fairly difficult, as her grovyle outleveveled the majority of my pokémon, however Dustox is an ace up my sleeve. With his crazy resistance to grass and basic flying type attack, I am able to get the edge over my female foil.

My swallow and sloth also make a few cameos here and there as well.

Onto the next city in the chopping block.
