After years apart, will my reunion with an old waifu be tender or bittersweet?

This is an old format I did with a lot of multiplayer games that works well with almost anything: Go through a multiplayer game in which you can choose between characters/classes and play as each one until you lose a game. Then, move on to the next one. Once you lose with all of them, the series is over and you can't play the game again for 6 months (that's my criteria at least).
This series also had a "revival" condition: if I unlock Competitive (meaning I win 50 total games and unlock all the old characters) the rest of the characters revive and I get one more chance with them.
