to my surprise GM2 actually looks quite good normally a field rendered game looks like crap with it but the type of filtering they use in this game (shining a slight blur of colors over all of the screen) seems to fix that substantially.
There are still some issues GM2 has like for example the slight adaptive deinterlacing mess ups on text and numbers on the menus or whenever damage is dealt.
Overall I would say it's superior to GM1, which while it doesn't have any deinterlacing issues per se it still flickers and is less sharp than GM2.
BTW I applied a widescreen patch to this to make the FOV better
