Dwarf Fortress Stream: Praisetheaters [11] The Deadly Brawl
2In this Dwarf Fortress playthrough livestream we continue with the reclaim and rebuilding of our civilisation's mountainhome: Praisetheaters.
Today... we finish our underground trap system, continue work on the great "Praised Theatre" and experience a deadly brawl. Our goal for this fortress is to build a super strong military, destroy local goblin camps to secure our homeland, and of course make the fort as spectacular as possible.

About Our Civilisation
The Lanterns of Medicine are a civilisation that were known for their love of the arts in their prime, as well as trading the finest herbs, recipes and medicinal foods. However, their capital and cultural home of Praisetheaters was ravaged for decades and eventually taken by The Mountainous Spider in 59. The civilisation was almost completely destroyed (with less than 50 pop when I started playing in this world 2 years ago)... but one band of dwarves escaped far to the west, and settled a new fort named Ilonzanor in 149. This would be the beginning of a new age for The Lanterns of Medicine. Secretly rebuilding far form their ravaged homeland.
After many years of toil, they establishing a new capital mountainhome in Ilonzanor. Then in 179, The Lanterns of Medicine sent their finest military squad headed by the elvish Queen Amayi to take back Praisetheaters. They succeeded, and seated a new government.
But 4 years later, once again The Monstrous Spider attacked Praisetheaters. Their forces were mostly defeated, but so was the new government. Many fled, including the Queen... but some hid in the ruins waiting for a chance to escape. In 187 the site was abandoned and we finally got the opportunity to take it back, and rebuild it once more.
Our aim is to make sure Praisetheaters can never be taken again, and to clear our homeland of the goblin scum who destroyed many of our civilisation's locations... securing a long and prosperous future for The Lanterns of Medicine.
