At long last the dwarven crossbowmen are painted. These magnificent models are from Atlantis Miniatures and I've spent over a year putting off painting them. The end result is quite pleasing. They really take ink quite well so shading them's really easy. You can often tell if a sculptor strongly favours inking or drybrushing because a figure with have lots of dark recesses and gentle curves for inks or really jagged protruding ridges and deep recesses for drybrushing (most fall somewhere inbetween).
I've painted them up for Kings of War, hence the movement tray, and I know I spent about two months painting them and this was NOT continuous - just little bits at a time as and when I was able to snatch a brief moment to paint heer and there. I was often tempted to put up some work in progress videos on the unit but decided to wait 'til I was finished.
Lighting's not perfect but I hope you enjoy the figures and I'll be hoping to have some more painting progress videos up soon.
