E Type (Acorn Archimedes Gameplay Sample)
11E-Type is a clone of Sega's arcade driving game Out Run initially released for the BBC Micro, Acorn Electron and a few months later for the Acorn Archimedes. For its time, E-Type was praised for its smooth 3D-style graphics and high frame rate on RISC-based hardware. Instead of the Ferrari from Out Run, the player drives a blue Jaguar E-type. A sequel, E-Type 2, was released with improvements, such as power-ups, weapons, and more variety in environments.
