2,026There are some ships in the Gate Network that push the boundaries of destructive potential. The unique Erlking is one, the Terran Asgard is another.
More or less designed around a terrifyingly large spinally mounted beam weapon, the Asgard was designed with the sole purpose of crushing Xenon capital ships and stations. When the old Terran ATF was dissolved, the Asgard remained in service but, like the Syn, was largely replaced by more 'reasonable' and 'modern' designs. Sale of the Asgard was banned.
Sale of the Asgard blueprints however....
Apparently the part of the Terran Government responsible for IP sales and licensing understands that Battleships are entirely reasonable self-defence weapons and is apparently willing to sell the blueprints for this capital ship to us.
So, members of Terra Invicta, what are we going to call our first corporate built battleship?
