9So what's the deadliest weapon you can take on an adventure - a sword? A gun? No, its a heat seeking owl with elemental powers. Well it seems appropriate given the avian location as we take a look at the demo for the upcoming game - Eagle Island.
From indie developer Nick Gregory of Pixelnicks, Eagle Island is an old school pixel art platformer that has you exploring randomly generated maps as heroes Quill and his owl Koji. With influences like Rogue Legacy, Banjo-Kazooie and even a little metroidvania thrown in for good measure this game is designed to warm the nostalgia glands in the back of your head, right next to those happy memories of playing 2D sidescrollers for hours at a time, as a kid.
