The Philadelphia Eagles and Carson Wentz appear to be in it together for the long haul, as the Eagles just announced today that they will be picking up Carson's 5th year option.

This gives the Eagles and Wentz a 2-year timespan to be able to determine if Wentz will indeed become the franchise QB we all hope he can be, or whether he will be another struggling QB in the NFL.

All in all, good move on the Eagles.
