0I decided to take my time ending the game. Given how extensive the implementation is in games that have mimicked EarthBound, I was expecting more interactivity. Still, it was a nice experience.
I liked EarthBound. The battles are snappy, and the game never requires you to grind too much. The setting and style are both fantastic, and help elevate a relatively standard plot. It was emotional at times, even if it was using relatively cliche moments. The game could seriously use some quality of life improvements, like improved PSI usage outside of battles and slicker item management. It'd also be nice if it cut down on some of the treks for healing. Still, I had a wonderful time. Maybe I'll do a fourth playthrough in another 10 years.
