First load on opening the game is only 20% faster in these simple beginning areas of the game, but I can imagine it'd be faster in Boston and similar places. But what really blew me away was the fast travel times and entering/exiting buildings. Turns out those animations and screen transitions bloat the load time by a tonne. Plus this mod also by default makes the transition from load completion to game fade in 2x faster, which seems to also make it take less time doing nothing important!

Now, install instructions -
First, grab F4SE from: https://f4se.silverlock.org/
This is Fallout 4 Script Extender, required for a lot of mods like this, that use scripts to change the behavior of the game (you'll need to launch the game with f4se_loader.exe from now on if you want to use this mod, it's worth it and doesn't impact performance).. Extract that using the read-me instructions provided on the site with the download
then grab this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798?tab=description
finally edit the lines I do and put the files in the location I put them in the video.
DON'T WORRY, this mod doesn't do it's unlocking fps stuff by default and you can simply change the ini values I show in the video to only do the load screen tweaks instead of uncapping anything in game-play. The unlocking fps in load-screen stuff is also optional to change, but helps slightly apparently. (The main improvement comes from turning off the load animations and such)
