I'm getting a bit hasty here, because of the time limit until the Burning Shores DLC releases. Basically, if you do this Quest earlier and on a lower level, the strategies in this video won't change too much.

In the place of the Ancestor's Return, you can also use the Thunderbolt or Sunhawk Shredder Gauntlet. Even weaker? The Ironeater bought at Scalding Spear is imo a very good early Shredder. Both Acid and Strike-through shredders, along with Dmg over Time Skill perk on the weapon, allow for great dmg for a relatively weak weapon.

For the Elite Ropecaster, the weaker yet viable replacement is the Anchor Ropecaster bought at Arrowhand (I highly recommend fully upgrading it though!).
You'll need more ropes to bind the Frostclaw, but you can easily get two to three shots in with Sliding Quick draws (Overdraw that is!) by Knocking it down with either Knockdown Shot Weapon Technique or Drill Spikes Coiled with Knockdown Power Coils aimed at the LIMBS.

Powerful Sharpshot Bows are plenty avaiable. You get the Cleaving one ealry during The Broken Sky Main Quest.
The Piercing SS Bow can be looted at the Rebel Leader in The Hive Rebel Camp.
The Exacting SS Bow can be bought at Cliffwatch and has Concentration and Overdraw perks, allowing for shots potentially nearly as powerful as shots from the Piercing SS Bow!

The Stalker and Leaplashers can be Knocked Down with one shot of the Knockdown Shot WT. With Shock or Acid Shredders, these machines can be downed pretty easily. Try to fully charge the shredder before throwing.

The Frostclaw is a matter of: two Knockdown Shots, drink a Stamina Potion, shoot the shoulder Sac with a SS Bow.
IF the Frostclaw is frozen but uses its frost Cloaking, repeat the strat from the beginning. If NOT, shoot 2 more Knockdown shots, Rope bind it with Overdrawn shots and make sure to always dodge INTO or to the SIDES of the Frostclaw's attacks.
Backing away will make it more likely for you to get hit.
Once the machine is bound, quickly use Ranged Master lvl 3 and your best Boltblaster on either its Eyes or the Containers on its butt.

With Low Health Ranged you can shorten the fights with any of these machines, but you'll also need Low Health Defence at at least +2 for some insurance to not get one-shot.
You can boost LH Ranged with foods, Sunfall Maizemeat, and LH Defence with Grazer's Bounty, both bought at Barren Light.
