0Osaka’s famed Dohtonbori district is one filled with the best of Japanese street food -- okonomiyaki, takoyaki, kushikatsu, ramen and a host of others. It is the perfect place to practice “kuiadore,” or to eat to the point of bankruptcy.
Eat Yourself Bankrupt is the Tasteless Group’s attempt to take some of that Osaka experience and box it up in a food court. Neon and Japanese akachōchin lanterns dazzle the eyes while J-pop blare from the speakers. TV monitors all around the food court occasionally show episodes of insane Japanese game shows and past episodes of "Takeshi’s Castle." It’s as if the Tasteless Group cut a piece of the famed Dohtonbori strip in Osaka and boxed it up in a food court.
