Ebike Conversion Build Log - Going Carless Project [Part 1]
27Hey, welcome to the first part of my attempt at going carless. In this video I am logging as much as I can about why I am choosing to go without a car (basically money) and going over as much of the build as possible. Audio is a bit messy due to only having a day to do the editing but with time and future videos it may get better depending on if you show your support and hit that subscribe button.
For reference, the cost of the kit came to a total of £770 from Amazon.co.uk:

A decent front torch cost £38 with 1000 lumens.
The battery mounts cost £4 for two per pack.
New pedals were £13 (had to buy because my old ones were seized or welded into the old crank arms).
Compare that to a constant monthly cost for the car. I basically make my money back in 2 months:
I pay £270 a month for the lease on my car
£60 - £100 in fuel
Annual tax and insurance and maintenance... It's expensive.
