Eclipse Tips and Tricks
46The session will show many cool tips and tricks in action in the IDE that are invaluable to users in different aspects of development such as project configuration, editor management, source code navigation, coding and debugging. The objective is to quick-start the users, highlight the powerful capabilities and new features, showcase the hidden gems and enable them to utilize the Eclipse IDE to its full potential.
The Eclipse IDE is one of the most popular IDEs releasing successfully every quarter. It comes packed with a lot of powerful features and capabilities that enable the users to be more productive in their day to day work. With the faster release cadence and active community contributions many new features are added in every release. But, we often come across bugs and posts from users asking for features that exist in the Eclipse IDE already for many releases or have been added recently. The aim of the session is to quick-start the users, highlight the powerful capabilities and new features, showcase the hidden gems and enable them to utilize the IDE to its full potential.
In the last several releases, the focus has been to improve the Eclipse UI, especially the default Eclipse Dark theme on all platforms. With the combined efforts of the Eclipse committers and the community, the latest Eclipse looks great in dark theme. In this session we also intend to showcase the dark theme improvements in the Eclipse IDE.

The talk will cater to both novice and experienced Eclipse users who will have something new to take away from the session.
