The Traffic Lights community is one of my favorite communities. I like filming traffic lights when I go out, and it also interests people of many different types of traffic lights. However, there are of course cons of filming traffic lights, so let's talk about that.
First and formals, filming traffic lights can be a dangerous career option. Not just dangerous, Mom didn't want me crossing the street when she took me to this BIZZARE intersection. There are a lot of cars in all four corners, which makes it more dangerous. It can also be difficult to see pedestrians crossing at night depending on what car brand they have. Mom understands that I know how to cross the street, watch for turning vehicles, and that there are signs that say:
-"NO TURN ON RED"
-"LEFT ON GREEN ARROW ONLY"
-"LEFT TURN YIELD ON GREEN"
-"NO LEFT TURN"
-"NO RIGHT TURN"
-"NO TURNS"
-etc.
It's not about me, it's that people sometimes don't follow the rules of the road. There are drunk and high-speeding drivers, people who refuse to follow these signs, people begging for money and on drugs, etc. Even worse, four people and two dogs were killed crossing busy intersections. One half on Main Rd, and the other on Delsea Dr.
This is another reason why I am very cautious and aware of these things, especially if I'm gonna be filming and crossing. It's also a good idea to wear a safety jacket, which is what I do.
Anyway, with that out of the way, I wanted to mention that we also have right-turn signals in New Jersey, but most of them are just the advanced versions. There is a regular Right Turn Signal at West Ave & Chestnut, but I won't be doing that today.
