There’s no denying that Tom Cruise is the action movie king. At least the action movie king of modern times. He’s got several different franchises on his back, some in the making, a fair amount of stinkers here and there (The Mummy scream) and you can say what you want about him personally, or about the symmetry of his face, but the man’s work ethic and commitment to the craft is something that deserves a lot of recognition. And I feel like he gets his fair share of accolades, but there’s the rare occasion that a performer of this caliber stars in a film that flies under the radar. A film that deserves more recognition and love that in gets, and that’s the case with Edge of Tomorrow.
