►edward and oswald || "you rely on him, he relies on you" (day 6)
142Day 6 was soulmates. So let me explain my interpretation; I took my favorite quotes from some of the other shows I watch/ have watched (Buffy, Daredevil, Stranger Things, Lucifer, etc.) and let these quotes explain what I think of what it means to be a soulmate and how Oswald and Edward are those things. How their storyline follows these other parallels in other shows (such as Spuffy). And let me tell you why people saying “Ed shot Oswald; nygmobblepot is over is wrong”. As much as I absolutely DETEST what Spike did to Buffy in THAT episode, he knew he was wrong and went off to redeem himself, get his soul back, and be the man Buffy deserves. And he does. And they fall in love by the end of season 7 (no they aren’t physical but that doesn’t matter, they DO fall in love.) SOOOO what I’m saying is if Buffy can forgive Spike for what he did to her which in my opinion was MUCH worse than shooting someone, then Ed and Oswald can forgive one another and get together.
My absolute favorite line from this has to be “and no matter how hard you try to convince yourself it isn’t, it’s real.” Like…there’s not a more perfect line for Nygmobblepot right now than this. No matter how hard Ed is trying to convince himself Oswald didn’t love him and he doesn’t feel anything for Oswald back, he can’t deny that is was real and that he feels the connection. Honestly the amount of connections between these quotes and Nygmobblepot is astounding and very important to me. I want others to see it too. I put a lot of effort into this one, at least in terms of importance.
Again, the editing may not be on point, but I was really trying to get that idea of quotes and connections across more than anything else.
