Effective Development Work | Nelson Mattos + More | Talks at Google
Despite the significant advancements in technology, health, and communication that we have experienced in the last few years, one third of the world's population continues to struggle to survive. Their future is not looking much better because nonprofits have been facing major challenges which directly impact their effectiveness. In this talk, we will describe the major struggles of the world’s poorest ones and why existing NGOs are failing to address them. We will then present an effective approach to eliminate poverty, showing concrete examples from the work of Karimu International Help Foundation. The talk will be given less than 24 hours after we have completed 3 weeks of volunteer work in Africa. We will have lots of fresh examples, experiences, and insights to share with you.
