My experience posting blind longplays / let's plays of action RPGs has been a mixed bag ranging from people excited that I'm posting about their favorite game to the other extreme, where people insist that if I'm not playing to find all of the secrets and to min-max my build then I shouldn't post.

Here's how I play any RPG:
(1) no instruction manual or other guide / tutorial on first playthrough
(2) i try to treat situations as realistically - given the universe - as possible. often, I just want to get in and out of an area and make it back to the safety of base given that is what would make more sense logically than trying to destroy every item in an area
(3) no rerolls on initial character. if i pick a skill tree, build type, class, etc -- then i stick with it, even if i know it will eventually be a highly problematic build. consequences make the game more fun for me personally.
(4) given #1 & #3, i usually hold off on assigning skill points / attributes until either it is necessary to progress at a reasonable pace / success rate OR i have an idea of the career path of my character

I don't post tutorials / walkthroughs / advice commentary videos until I have enough expertise on a game to do so. I'm within my first 5 hours of Torchlight II play ever, so these videos are not guides. Consider them to be a historical data of what it was like for an average person to play the game in 2020 - with my own quirky gameplay style.
