El Camino and Studebaker Ute Interviews at Midwest Show n Shine 2022
16Awesome event at the 2022 Denison Foreshore Sprint & Midwest Show n Shine event in Dongara was awesome and did not disappoint viewers of these stunning cars.
El Camino Ute Interview
We check out this stunning 1959 Chevrolet El Camino Ute that was brought by the owner Adam sight unseen off Facebook Market place about 3 years ago and this El Camino muscle car was not looking good at the stage. The restoration took 12 solid months of working away for this nut and bolt restoration. You can see the amount of love and attention that went into the El Camino muscle cars to bring it back to life.
The owner did all the work himself apart of the the interior trim where he enlisted a mate to complete this area, but his mate did a fantastic job of this.
The Chevy El Camino is running a Small Block 350 Chevy Engine with a Turbo 350 Transmission. Its painted in a Solar Red Mazda colour and a course Metallic Basecoat paint for the bottom half of the Chevy. This El Camino grabs your attention as soon as you see it. A credit to the owner and the love he put into restoring this muscle car for us to see.
Studebaker Ute Interview
We have Phil with his Father's 1949 Studebaker R2A Ute with a 350 Chevy Engine in it. Phil's father has had the Studebaker Ute for 10 years now but when he brought the Studebaker it was unregistered and need a bit more attention. The Studebaker Ute has had a new paint job and stunning red pin stripping around the Ute to make it stand out more and boy it sure does.
The Studebaker Ute has been all over Australia to Car Show Events including the Centre Nats and this Ute is a daily driver and not a trailer queen. Phil's father still has a few areas to do on the Ute, like the front suspension but that is about it.
Phil is part of Burson Auto Parts in Geraldton that has been open now for 2 two years and getting established into the community. They are here today with their display, giving out promotion items and chatting with as many people as possible.
