In short:
1: Modify the map and save it.
2: Create a new character however you want.
3: Copy the OLD character's data into the NEW character's save folder. (only the non-map-specific data is required, as long as you don't carry over the data for the map you modified.)
4: Load the new character and check the job clients in the map by pressing F12 and typing "client".
5: If the names correspond to the NPC's in the map, it's successful!
