Embarrassing: Larry Madowo Exposes JKIA's Leaking Roofs and Poor Drainage
4In this video, CNN International Correspondent Larry Madowo has bitterly protested the leaking roofs and poor drainage systems at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
On Wednesday, April 10, Journalist Madowo shared this video showing the pathetic state of JKIA following heavy rains. In the video, Madowo explained how difficult it is for passengers to walk after alighting when it rains.
The celebrated journalist wondered how long it would take for JKIA to fix the leaking roof and build shelters and drainage systems.
According to Madowo, elected leaders don't feel the same way ordinary passengers do because they are usually picked from the plane to the exclusive government VIP section.
Madowo said the government could better fix the issues at JKIA because it's an international airport.
"What is this? How embarrassing is this to an international airport? We can do better," he added.
