Working out is an essential part of taking care of your mental and physical strength.

However, making your way to get to an actual gym can sometimes be difficult.

At Obstacle Athletics, they welcome fitness levels of all kinds to try their one-of-a-kind workout that is actually fun!

Embrace your inner ninja warrior with obstacles of all kinds to challenge your ability to climb, balance, and develop strengths that you would have never felt before.

Challenges include warped walls, monkey bars, walls, rope climbs, a double salmon ladder, and a devil staircase.

“Our tagline is overcome anything,” said Kevin LaPlatney, owner of Obstacle Athletics. “From day one, something that we meant literally and figuratively. Sure, you can get over these obstacles, but overcoming whatever you know might have set you back in your fitness and your health there is no ego here.”

LaPlatney opened the gym with a few friends who had the same love for this particular type of fitness.

He wanted to have a facility where he could train all year and not just when he signed up for a Spartan or Mudrunner race.

After a spike in interest in the show ‘Ninja Warrior’, he figured this would be a perfect addition to his type of gym he was looking to create for his community.
