One last game to wrap up the year. This is a pretty short platformer with a level up system, super slippery movement, and one of the lamest implementations of double-jumping I've ever seen in a platformer. Double-jumping can only be done if you've jumped once while on the ground, meaning you can't double-jump if you fall off a ledge. You also lose the ability to double-jump if you hit a ceiling.

Speaking of double-jumping, it's the key to trivializing this game, and you're gonna want it for the whole game, since the level design features a lot of blind jumps and no checkpoints. You can get the ability as early as the second level, and provided you don't die or get another powerup to override it, you can carry it through the entire game.

While the RPG elements may seem interesting, it ends up being pretty shallow as you don't have much attack options except jumping and a fireball powerup, and having double-jump is much more preferred, so beating higher level enemies ends up just bouncing on their heads until they fall.

If you want to 100% this game, you'll need to do 2 playthroughs, one on normal, and one on remix mode, which features slightly harder levels, then 100% one of these playthroughs. You also need to do a 'low-level' playthrough for at least one of them, finishing at no higher than level 8. I recommend doing 100% on remix mode just so you'll have more health to withstand the higher difficulty.

For some reason, the early levels are the hardest ones due to how many pits there are, and the stage design actually gets easier the further along you go. If you can get past the first two worlds, you've gotten through the worst of what the game has to offer. The key is to use the first 2 levels to level up, and get double-jump.

Other than that, you'll need to collect everything for the platinum, but most of the collectibles are in plain sight, and the ones that aren't usually require double-jump to get. It's a pretty short game all in all, but it'll take some getting used to.
