"Epitaph of a Warrior" is a chinese poem written by the philosopher Confucius. I shot this video with the german translation of the poem, translated by Klabund. This is an english translation by Thanatos from TWC and me.

I chose this poem to clearly show my attitude towards war. I just hope you don't think it's boring, because of that :)

It might be hard to comprehend the poem. If you are interested you may want to watch the video one more time to comprehend the whole meaning. Otherwise you can read it here:

Epitaph of a Warrior

Theres blossoming anemones in the snow.
With their flowery hearts a child plays, weeping over it.
We, who live at the wells edge of the earth,
Think the same about sunrise and sunset.

Yet, over and over wells the river from the rock,
And over and over the moon woos women;
Fall will forever roll its golden pumpkin,
And forever the call of crickets will chirp in the grass.

Many firmly lead their horses at the reins.
The glories of a thousand battles are blown away.
What part of heroism will persist? A rotten hill,
Where weeds stand crimson like fire.

~ Confucius
