Empyrion - Discovering Data Caches with Encrypted Data Chips (Reforged Eden) (4K)
10Deep within the Zirax territories, you can sometimes spot Data Caches (puzzles), under the "Unknown Structure" tag, which drop Encrypted Data Chips. Just beware, that some self-destruct if you get the expected solution wrong, so I left some hints and tips below to illuminate some of my findings. Good luck.

Difficulty Preset : Hard
Hosted server : Online Co-op (v1.8.3)

Hints & Tips:
- Research Computer: You may find Data Chips in Data Caches found in cold areas of space, such as around D or M class stars.
- Visited/missed Data Caches are in your Registry under the "Unknown Faction" entries.
- Each Data Cache location can have 1-4 puzzles, with randomised solutions.
- Usually drops 2-3 Encrypted Data Chips (per structure/puzzle), which can be handed in at any UCH Research Vessel (blue triangle on your map), for credits and research points.
- You only get one chance to solve some Data Cache puzzles, so pay attention to the positions of the sensors and notice the lights that can be used as a guide.
- For Hacking puzzles, use your torch/flashlight to detect active squares, making it easier to determine a viable path (note there is one intersection).
** If you are cheeky enough, position an SV with shields in between you and the nasty turrets, to let you work out the puzzles in peace and quiet ;)
