Enable Mic Monitoring for Headset in Windows 10 | Mic Monitoring | Listen to Your Mic
45Even if your gaming headset doesn't support in-line controls for mic monitoring or default mic monitoring you can enable mic sidetone for any headset or mic with Windows 10 by enabling "listen" to this device in the sound control panel for the microphone. This does however have a small latency much like Voicemeeter does and isn't 100% latency free like when mic's have this function built in at the mic itself, so it can be a tad disorienting to use during natural conversations I use it more to get a baseline for my vocal volume that others would hear from me in a party chat and then turn it off when I get to the mic levels I want to be heard. Some can still leave it on while in party chat so they can hear their own voice echoing back in their ears while talking to friends in party chat and you want to hear your own voice in your ears.
