I'm on a laptop at the moment, so I just record the strat in potato quality instead of making a proper run.
In the dream world you have to fight yourself and your behaviour actually determines which ending you can get. At last that's what should happen, but in my speedrun testing I simply teleported away instantly, because for some reason my double doesn't spawn. The only way around this seemed to be to essentially go through the storyline to make it spawn, which of course would take much much longer than simply fighting the final boss.
First I found that by strafing instantly after the dream world has loaded and saving and loading a few seconds later the teleport is canceled.
Now that leaves you inside the dream world, but your double is still not there. I had to look through the scripts with the tool DecDat to find out that you actually get teleported to a levelchange trigger at the waypoint "WP_TOT", when you get teleported out of the dream world. So I looked where that waypoint is and tried going through it and - honestly I don't know why - it unlocked the peaceful ending with no need to fight the boss.

btw the lack of fall damage is intentional, you're immortal while in the dream.
