One of the biggest blunders (there were many) I accepted without even noticing a 400% cost penalty on ship building just as was entering the build fleets and clear neighboring systems stage to make room for the winning ark spam ...

Another of the huge blunders I changed government to Republic at the very least 10 turns too late !

I selected an EXPENSIVE luxury from another constellation in my lvl 3 system improvement (I only had one system with it) - result - only a few (slowly) lvl 3 arks and NO lvl 4 ark (by the time one gets had access to lvl 4 arks nothing your colonies do matters anyway .. just spam the 100 essence system drain module in all support slots minus the meditation one built 1 new ark every turn).
