(EN/ES) TRAG: Mission of Mercy (Part 2)
6/10.
The major problem with trag is that the game is both too easy and way way too repetitive combat wise - that's not a problem in the first half when you are just starting out, and the characters being split up making for some interesting puzzles and level design.
However, once the 2nd half of the game kicks in, you are still fighting the same 3-4 enemies from the start of the game, combat scenarios are still the same (barring mine spam) and the party is all together, it's a lot less forgivable, especially given that the last part of the game is a lot more linear and significantly less puzzle focused. The end result is that the 2nd half ends up coming across as kinda forgettable and a bit by the numbers barring the occassional boss fight or cutscene.
There's some other issues I have, like most boss fights being kinda meh or sometimes janky, only Cassandra I think holds up pretty ok even if she's fairly easy, and the controls feel a bit clunky at times, I'm not sure if having tank controls was a good idea though the game doesnt play bad, it's relatively competent. Maybe the L2 button in conjunction with one of the face buttons could've been used for special moves rather than the fighting game style moves, sometimes I ended up getting a charge attack when you meant to do a down attack on a fallen enemy.
Presentation is nice, though the voice acting is hysterical and easily RE1 tier.
Anyways, this is still a way better resident evil clone (sorta, it's half resi, half beat em up tbh) than fucking Evil Dead Hail to the King, god that was an awful game. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/futuretime23
