Part 6 - The Windmill Puzzle
In this episode, we have to figure out how to open the large blast door, where the rest of Trip's people might be hiding. So we head off to a nearby windmill, and need to power it up to cause a power surge and open the door. First, it's a challenge even getting to the windmill, as the gate is locked and electrified, but then the windmill itself causes us lots of problems. We open the first sail, then we need to hitch a ride on the other two, and pull them down when they are at the top. However, we are meant to command Trip to stop and start the windmill for us, only she doesn't appear to be listening. After she stops it, and we climb back on, she refuses to start it again. We reset the checkpoint, thinking we encountered a glitch, but then we run into the same thing when we try again. We turn to google, and find tons of people encountering the same issue. One patron saint explained they were able to get it to work by constantly hitting the command, until Trip finally registered it. Bless you, stranger. We finally get the windmill powered up, and surge the door, so we can head inside, after fighting off the mechs that were gathering outside the gate. But before we can head into the shelter, we are attacked by another robot dog, which we need to take down first. Once the beast is felled, we finally head it, and discover that Trip's father, succumbed to a similar fate as the rest of the village. We hang our heads, and move on, vowing to take out those that are responsible for this. It's finally time to head West. Which we will do, next time.
