Entire DRAYMOND GREEN Q&A (w/ TIMESTAMPS): KD, importance of Steph Curry's presence and his "chaos"
Sorry for the delay on this. Been real busy taking care of some things while at home, not being on this particular roadtrip (due to the high cost of airfare to the Midwest). QUOTES:
0:00 - on his rift with Kevin Durant (full transcript is available here: https://twitter.com/Con_Chron/status/1063142508354506752)
2:20 - reporter (probably Warriors beatwriter Anthony Slater of TheAthletic) asks about Warriors management, but Draymond deflects and insists for a second time that the scrum focuses on basketball
2:32 - Kerith Burke (Warriors sideline reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area) asks about feeding off the energy at Toyota Center. Green admits he likes the energy in the arena, but it won't be the same
3:20 - Monte Poole (NBC Sports Bay Area reporter) asks if Draymond's mentality changes when Stephen Curry isn't on the floor: "Steph, when he's on the floor -- Steve always says he kinda brings this chaos to the game...Everybody's role changes"
4:05 - Connor LeTourneau (SF Chronicle) asks how different it is to have Curry on road trips: "It's always good to have everybody's presence..."
4:30 - Mark Medina (San Jose Mercury/Bay Area News Group) asks what he thinks Curry's presence does: "That's kinda what this organization's built around...his personality, his free-flowing, and -- for lack of a better term -- careless approach. When I say 'careless', I mean not a care in the world, just like, enjoy. That joy that we always talk about, that kind of comes from him...That's kind of the makeup of this team."
5:15 - A non-Warriors reporter asks about certain NBA rules changes such as the 14-second reset on an offensive rebound. Green doesn't agree that that's significant. He only remembers one time in these last 15 games when it affected him or the team.
6:17 - Medina on Green's play-making/ball movement vs talent vs finding a certain guy to shoot the ball. Draymond says sometimes they have to "scrap" the ball movement, but it depends: "Down the stretch, you gotta go to your guys and they gotta go get a bucket. That's just the fact of the matter."
From Warriors (12-3) morning shootaround before Houston Rockets, at Toyota Center in Houston, TX.
NOTE: Sometimes it is difficult to get closer to the interviewee when there is a large scrum. In these cases, we will do our best to obtain the audio from another reporter or the official Warriors audio at https://soundcloud.com/warriors. Please note that it may take some time to splice the audio with the video.
