New IndyCar broadcast partner NBC Sports COMPLETELY screwed the pooch of the coverage of the IndyCar season finale and championship when the coverage of the first race of the NASCAR Playoffs at Las Vegas went long with several cautions and a red flag.

The complete bungle of the situation was compounded when NBC cut to the IndyCar race IN PROGRESS as one of the championship contenders had the mistake of the season.

In this video I discuss what a bad look this is for a new broadcast partner for the series and what needs to be changed in the future.
