ePSXe Guide - Part 1, PS3 Controllers (NTSC Ape Escape)
(I would recommend going with this XInput Wrapper now: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller)
A few people using PAL/Europe versions of a Ape Escape 1 disc on their PS3 have commented that they can't start the game at the main menu. There's no way to fix it on a PS3, so I decided to walk-through on how to set it up so you can play your PS1 games on a computer with a PS3 controller (through USB).

- FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) -
*Q: Vibration doesn't work.
*A: The 'MijFrc.dll' file isn't installed properly. Download it from somewhere, like the link above.
After installing the .dll, make sure the rumble in epsxe's controller config reads:
Type: DX Joy1
Big Motor: Sine
Small Motor: Sine
*Q: The character doesn't run when I move the left analog stick all the way, only walk.
*A: Reinstall the program, make sure you have the latest stable version. (Version I've used/using is v0.7.1001.)
'Axis Deadzone' in the 'Options' tab for both right and left stick should be set to 12 - or default.
Look at the Game Controller Panel, if it functions normally there, then maybe ePSXe's settings are wrong. If it doesn't work there, check the configuration in MotioninJoy/BetterDS3.
*Q: The analog sticks won't work at all. Everything else is fine though.
*A: Look at the Game Controller Panel, if it functions normally there, then maybe ePSXe's settings are wrong. If it doesn't work there, check the configuration in MotioninJoy/BetterDS3.
*Q: Hey, I still want to play on my PAL PS3! How do I do THAT?
*A: Uh, you can't, unless Sony fixes it or re-releases the game in some form. If someone can find a fix, that'd be great.
