In terms of strategy, windward forest is unchanged until you get to Zelse. Once you get to him, just use large cutter and attempt to maneuver him into using the ice wall. Yes, even if it misses large cutter will still do more damage than lvl3 wind cutter. You can use some buffs if you want, but if he gets close to you say goodbye to them. For a wind elemental guy, why is he neutral to wind?

Don't forget to grab the element behind the trees after the fight! I know I always do.

After that, I make it a quarter of the way through the Blue Cave. This is where you either have all your items from chests up to this point or you will be forced to abuse the hp mechanic in order to make it through without using water healing. I opted for the latter method for obvious reason in so to make the remaining game at least be somewhat difficult.
