Es Devlin’s ‘Forest for Change’ overtakes Somerset House courtyard at the London Design Biennale
A viridescent picture of trees, birdsong, and music welcomes visitors to the ongoing edition of the London Design Biennale at Somerset House. Christened 'Forest For Change,' the miniature woodland landscape designed by Es Devlin is the 'Global Goals Pavilion,' among the myriad international pavilions and installations decorating the historic venue until the 27th of this month.

Comprising 400 trees from 27 nursery-grown species, the pavilion is made of sustainably sourced materials, designed and assembled to ensure carbon positivity. All the trees will be replanted across London’s boroughs at the event’s conclusion. Putting forth a powerful, moving statement to combat climate change, Forest for Change intends to collect voices from all across society to craft a compelling message, a plea for the world to recognise and make strides towards the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
