[Escape] #48 - Locker Room || Zero Time Dilemma (Interactive, 100%)
Part 48 of my interactive 100% playthrough of Zero Time Dilemma on PC.
Here we have Diana and Sigma, locked in a shower room, in a timeline we don't know much about... What's going on exactly?!
Here are some explanations about the puzzles found in this room:
—— The Color Combination ——
You can start this puzzle by interacting with the 4-button lock on one of the lockers. To complete the puzzle, you'll need the conversion plug, which can be found in one of the unlocked lockers.
The lock asks for a combination of 4 colors. You can change the color of any of the buttons by clicking on it. Each can show, white, blue, violet and red. The main clue for this resides behind the fan on top of the sinks. If you examine it a bit more closely, you'll remark that some text is hidden behind it, along with the word "SPIN" written on the side. So, to know what's written behind, you would need to spin the blades... How about using the hair dryer next to the sinks?
Well, the outlet next to the dryer is 3-pronged, while the hair dryer itself is 2-pronged, so we'll need to use that conversion plug. Once that's done, you should be able to use the dryer on the fan and distinguish all 4 words written behind the blades. Those actually indicate the combination, from top to bottom. Simply enter that combination on the lock, starting from the left, and that locker will be open in no time. Doing so will reward you with a remote control and a coin.
—— The 9-Button Lock ——
You can start this puzzle by interaction with the 9-button lock on one of the lockers. To complete this puzzle, you'll need the remote control and the coin.
That lock has 9 buttons on it, with no further indications. It seems we have to press those buttons in a certain order, but which ones? For now, we can use the coin we got earlier to unscrew the cover on the strange device on the wall. Doing so will reveal a "Reset" button and two switches. While the "Reset" button does nothing for now, we can use the switches to turn on or off the lights for the two sides of the room. Simply note that only one side can be active at a time for now.
The remote control we got controls the lid on the floor on the shower side of the room. However, it won't respond until the lights of the shower side are lit. Doing so will drain the water of the room and reveal a round object for the taking, but that's not all! Leaving the lid open and then shutting down the lights on the shower side will reveal the combination of the 9-button lock, as it is written on the underside of the lid with invisible ink! Now that we have that, it's simply a matter of copying that combination on the actual lock, and you'll have solved the puzzle, allowing you to get acces to a strange device. Fun fact: the lock's combination is actually the same as what's displayed on the loading screen of the game.
—— The Cuboctahedron ——
You can start this puzzle by interacting with the device inside the locker with the 9-button lock.
You need to rotate all faces of the cuboctahedron until the whole pattern fits together. The puzzle itself is pretty simple, but here's a trick for you: start by matching the parts of a dragon. Once you have your first faces aligned, you should follow the path of the dragon to determine which face to rotate next until the dragon is complete. Once you have that, you should have enough information to start matching the clouds, and so on until the full pattern is aligned. Completing this puzzle will net you a screwdriver.
