Ellie and Joel go with Henry and Sam to the office via a toyshop (which is super sad), and a lovely apartment :o The room where the two have been hiding out has a good view of the way out of the city. Unfortunately it's blocked by a large hunter barricade. Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. Henry (?) says that the guards aren't as heavy at night and proposes we break through that very night. He wants to get Sam (?) to the Fireflies for reasons so we're going the same way on the other side anyway.
That night the 3 of them set out. Naturally we blew stealth within about 12 seconds but we all saw that coming. After a super messy and not elegant in the slightest firefight nothing but the gate stands between us and the gate to the bridge. Then the humvee shows up :? As the 3 scramble to escape the humvee a ladder breaks leaving Joel behind. Sam and Henry decide to leave him, Ellie won't though cus we're lvl 10 chums now. Ellie and Joel leg it pursued by the humvee, and are left with no choice but to jump off a broken bridge into the river where the two get slammed into a rock! :O
Joel awakes on a beach with Ellie a while later. Henry and Sam are there too. Joel fights the temptation to murder the larger one who pulls some "I knew you'd be fine, we saved you" bollocks. Whatever, Ellie and the little one are good friends and need each other, not going to get in the way of that. I get why he left us but there's a right way to do it sort of, like cover us til we got to safety too at least instead of just bailing.
