6Is Ethereum Classic like Gold? Or is it more like Silver? And what exactly is ETC and how is it different from Ethereum?
Well, Ethereum is moving to Proof of Stake, while Ethereum Classic is a Proof of Work system just like Bitcoin. Proof of Work uses real computing power to solve complex equations to create and distribute transactions across the blockchain. This system has some disadvantages but Ethereum Classic is the only Proof of Work system that has programmable smart contracts and a fixed supply. This gives Ethereum Classic a serious advantage over many other cryptocurrencies.
