Etrian Odyssey Untold Boss 4: Fenrir (First Stratum Boss)

So some people consider Untold fenrir to be a lot easier than Original Fenrir but I have to personally disagree. Untold Fenrir has 3000 HP as opposed to 1200HP, ice Elemental attacks that can pierce through your tanks, an arena that means there's gonna be a lot of wolves joining the fight before too long (not to mention the 4 skolls he's flanked by instead of just 2 skolls) and to top it all off you can't pick off the FOE's before the fight begins as Fenrir will always cut you off ensuring the safety of his pack. He also has a howl that can inflict panic and he'll be flanked by forest wolves and skolls. The forest wolves are basic attacks that just sorta soak up damage here and there but the Skolls will act as protectors drawing attacks away from fenrir making the 3000 HP even steeper than it initially seems.
Grimoire stones can largely be ignored throughout the main story but there are some really good early game monster skills you can get that you may want. Corrosive armor is a defensive debuff similar to what the hexers use while Charge can be learned from the rock boar FOEs and simply boosts your attack the next turn. It's the basic unga bunga strike.
With this boss done we would continue through the second stratum onto cernunnos but remember this is the untold stories. Next time we'll be progressing through the new story dungeon and its unique boss battle.
