In this short video I present a capture of a 1991 preview disk of the game Euphoria which was developed by members of the Next demogroup and supposed to be published by Expose Software.

- 01:16 Booting the game on the Atari STe
- 01:28 Loading picture (by "Chromix")
- 01:35 Intro sequence (soundtrack music)
- 03:11 Main menu (fullscreen with digidrum music)
- 04:21 High Scores (fullscreen with digidrum music)
- 04:55 Fulltron Challenge (fullscreen with chiptune)

For various reasons the game did not get very far, and all that can be found these days is this preview which includes some loading picture, intro sequence with soundtracker music, main menu allowing the selection of the number of players and control mode, a high score page, and the Bonus Screen "Fulltron Challenge".

Some of the challenges were:
- Deciding to make the entire game in overscan was technically doable, but the time frame was totally unrealistic
- We had issues with keyboard and joystick reading in overscan mode, impacting the playability
- Too many different types of gameplay, not enough programmers!

Team:
- Olivier "Mit" Lhermite: Code
- Richard "FFTS" Perdriau: Soudtracker music
- Emmanuel "LAP" Larry: Soundchip music
- Emmanuel "Chromix" Courossé: Graphics and Design
- Mickaël "Dbug" Pointier: Code, Graphics and Design

In the thumbnail you can see scans of some of the design documents, but most of them were unfortunately lost.

As usual, feel free to comment if you have remarks, suggestions, questions, or ideas of topics you'd like to be covered in my videos.
