From 1999 - 2001, this was the experience all Everquest players had when creating their characters. I immediately fell in love with how your race selection changed the instruments played in the song. Jay Barbeau (the composer) himself said that the song was never meant to be heard with all of the instruments on. Every race has its own flavor. The flavorful user interface, though though huge and imposing, was also unforgettable. As soon as Shadows of Luclin came out, this experience was lost with the new music and graphic direction. This particular recording was created using EQClassic - a server created from the ground up to work specifically with the Everquest Triolgy client (big box) from 2001. This server has been in a closed auditor phase for the past many years. Currently new auditors are not being added.
