The first "prototype" of this album dates back to 2010. At that time I was the vocalist and the guitar player of a black metal band and I wrote quite a lot of riffs that eventually became what you see here today. After I left the band for personal reasons I decided to start Everwinter, my own project. After three years, various mishaps and two unpublished demos, I finally managed to find the time and dedication I needed to record an EP.

Dunkel Ulv
Everwinter is a one man band created by me, Dunkel Ulv (Gianluca Marrone), in 2016. After two unreleased demos in 2016 and 2018, the debut EP, “De Brevitate Vitae”, was released on June 23 2019.
I’m not into labels, but if I had to classify my music under a specific genre, that would be post-black metal. My inspiration, however, comes from many different types of music. Ambient, shoegaze and movies soundtracks standing out among the others.

Everwinter è una one man band creata da me, Dunkel Ulv (Gianluca Marrone), nel 2016. Dopo due demo inediti, uno nel 2016 e l’altro nel 2018, l’EP di debutto “De Brevitate Vitae”, viene rilasciato il 23 Giugno 2019.
Non apprezzo le etichette, ma se dovessi classificare la mia musica secondo un genere specifico, quest’ultimo sarebbe il post-black metal. La mia ispirazione, nonostante ciò, arriva da generi musicali molto diversi tra loro. Spiccano su tutti ambient, shoegaze e colonne sonore cinematografiche.
