Every Decade has a Silent Character who Rarely or Never Speaks:
1920s: Felix The Cat, Even if he may have spoke in newer iterations, he did not say a peep in the 20s
1930s: Dopey from Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, the movie came out in 1937.
1940s: Tom and Jerry, even though they spoke in that one 90s movie, they usually don’t speak at all.
1950s: Wile E. Coyote from the Road Runner Series, or Snoopy, and Snoopy imagines himself speaking, but he never actually speaks.
1960s: Pink Panther, he only spoke twice on rare occasions in 1969 nice, but he is mainly a mute character.
1970s: Michael Myers, the First Halloween film came out in 1978
1980s: Link (The Legend of Zelda), the first Zelda game came out in 1986
1990s: Maggie Simpson or Red From Pokemon, and while The Simpsons came out in 1989, they dominated the 90s.
2000s: Gordon Freeman from the Half Life Series, and while the first game came out in 1998, the series really dominated the 2000s
2010s: Michael Bay’s Bumblebee. While he technically can speak, he mostly lost it when Megatron destroyed his voice box.
