Every spring, Florida's biggest party comes alive during Universal Mardi Gras. As part of Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration, the biggest draw of the event is the family-friendly Mardi Gras parade. This year’s theme is "Planet Mardi Gras” and features 6 brand-new floats that join the traditional New Orleans-inspired floats and dozens of performers in festive costumes as they throw out beads by the handful. Watching the parade and catching beads is a Mardi Gras must-do experience. But if you’ll be at Universal for at least two nights or more, then try to ride on a parade float. There is limited availability on the floats, but float riding reservations are available on an in-park, standby basis through the Virtual Line Experience in the Universal Orlando app.
