Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-\n
adventure, and stealth game franchise published \nby Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio \nUbisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and \nits more advanced derivatives. Created by \nPatrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, \nthe Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a \nfictional millennia-old struggle between the \nOrder of Assassins, who fight for peace and free \nwill, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace \nthrough order and control. The series features \nhistorical fiction, science fiction, and \nfictional characters intertwined with real-world \nhistorical events and historical figures. In \nmost games, players control a historical \nAssassin while also playing as an Assassin \nInitiate or someone caught in the Assassin–\nTemplar conflict in the present-day framing \nstory.
