Penn State football is amidst a transfer portal dilemma at wide receiver. The Nittany Lions had a surprise decommitment this week to cap off a hellacious portal season. Today on the BWI Daily Edition, senior editor Nate Bauer and publisher Sean Fitz sit down to discuss the portal and Penn State's remaining targets, the decommitment of Devin Carter, and more. They'll also spotlight the receiver room to understand why the team is going so hard after players in the portal.

Before getting into transfer portal talk, Bauer and Fitz recap their biggest takeaways from Penn State's Rose Bowl win over Utah. The duo agrees that the game sets up perfectly to give fans a positive outlook for next season. Next, they discuss the major influences shaping the next season's success, especially at quarterback. Bauer shares some of his conversation with offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and what the third-year play caller will do to get the team in a position to succeed.
That conversation naturally leads into the receiver room, which is currently under massive scrutiny thanks to Penn State's portal efforts.
