EXPLOITING THEIR WEAKNESS | Let's Plat Persona 4 Golden - Part 13
0While we didn't make progress in a TV world we ended up getting into a romance along with making story progress with party members as well. We are also all set to get the remaining weakness/immunity navigation lines the next time we go to a TV world which should get us close to the trophy.
Trophy/Achievement Timestamps
1:44:08 - A Special Lady Trophy/Achievement - As you are playing you will be interacting with a variety of different characters by spending time with them to increase their Social Link Rank. Some of these Social Links you can enter into a special relationship through romance options as you progress through them. Regardless of this you are able to enter a special relationship with as many of the characters available to you as you want and you do not need to commit to a single one. The Social Links you can enter into a special relationship with are Chie, Yukiko, Marie, Rise, Naoto, Yumi/Ayane (depending on which club you choose) and Ai. On top of getting their Social Links to the required rank to enter the special relationship some characters you may need to get your Social Stats to a certain level or interact with other characters to get their Social Links high enough to make the special relationship Social Links available in the first place. When you have entered a special relationship with someone you will unlock this trophy/achievement.
2:30:46 - A True Bond Trophy/Achievement - This is story-related and unmissable. You will unlock this trophy/achievement when you have maxed out a Social Link.
4:37:34 - Fishing Master Trophy/Achievement - One of the many activities you can do outside of the story is fishing whether it be in the river or the sea. To fish in the first place you need to speak to the old man at the riverbank in the Samegawa Floodplain. He will give you a fishing rod that will allow you to river fish along with giving you tips on how to catch the River Guardian. Simply having the fishing rod is not enough as you need bait as well. From 6/7 onwards you can talk to a boy at the Shrine who will give you bugs in exchange for food and drink items. If you have the correct item you might be able to obtain a Tatsuhime Ladybug for the next step otherwise he will mention his bug catching net has gone missing so you can catch it yourself. To obtain the bug catching net you need to return to the Shrine at night and talk to the lady in white and answer Yes to her question. This will get you a bug catching net so return to the boy and you can now catch bugs. Once you have a Tatsuhime Ladybug you can trade it for a hook at the Shiroku Pub. You should now have a complete fishing rod and be able to catch bugs to set up for catching both Guardian fish. From 7/9 you gain access to the scooter as part of the story. This is required to access Shichiri Beach for sea fishing and the Sea Guardian. To reach here you need to go for a long ride on 3 separate occasions with the scooter to unlock the Shichiri Beach location. Reading the Expert Fishing book is necessary for making it easier to catch the Sea Guardian. The bugs you need can be found at the Shrine during night time and are the Inaba Jewel Beetle and the Genji Beetle. You should have everything you need to fish efficiently however you can't catch the Sea Guardian until after you catch the River Guardian as the old man will reward you with the Deep Sea Rod after you have shown him the River Guardian as well as give you tips to catch the Sea Guardian. To catch either Guardian fish it needs to be raining. Make sure to select the Inaba Jewel Beetle as it is the only thing that attracts the River Guardian. You will know you have found either Guardian fish when you see ripples followed by a large white ring spreading outward. When the bobber goes underwater you need to press the X/A button to begin the minigame. You are usually required to hold the X/A button to reel the fish in however you can mash and achieve the same result. So long as you keep within the blue area you should be fine. For the Sea Guardian you need to use the Genji Beetle as your bait as it is the only thing that attracts the Sea Guardian. Mashing for the Sea Guardian will not work because you need to constantly try reeling it in. Instead you want to hold X/A not the whole way as the blue bar depletes faster and to avoid the line snapping when you are outside the area as it will waste your bait. Whenever you get the chance press Triangle/Y to reel it in faster. Doing this at least 3 times should give you a better chance. To complete the Hermit Social Link you are required to catch the Sea Guardian. When you have caught the Sea Guardian you will unlock this trophy/achievement.
